1. Introduction
Welcome to Dishlio (“we”, “our”, or “us”). Dishlio is a free recipe discovery service with a website at www.dishlio.fun and a forthcoming mobile app for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices — which, in short, are to collect none.
We built Dishlio with privacy as a core value, not an afterthought. You should be able to explore the world’s cuisines without surrendering your personal information. So we designed the app to require none.
2. Information We Collect
We collect no personal information. None.
Dishlio does not collect, store, or process:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your device identifiers, IP address, or location data
- Usage data, analytics, or behavioral tracking
- Cookies or local tracking tokens on this website
- Crash reports or diagnostic data linked to you personally
- Payment information (the app is free and always will be)
3. No Account, No Login
Dishlio requires no account, no registration, and no login. There is no sign-up process and no username or password on this website, and the forthcoming mobile app is being built with the same account-free approach.
4. On-Device Storage Only
Any preferences, saved recipes, or settings you configure within the Dishlio app are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
5. Recipe Data — TheMealDB
Recipe content displayed in Dishlio is sourced from TheMealDB, a free, open recipe database. When Dishlio loads recipe imagery on the website or fetches recipe content in the mobile app, standard HTTPS requests may be made to TheMealDB.
These requests may expose your IP address to TheMealDB’s servers as is standard for any internet communication. Please review TheMealDB’s own privacy policy for their data practices. Dishlio has no control over TheMealDB’s data handling.
6. Analytics and Tracking
Dishlio uses no analytics software of any kind. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any other analytics or telemetry service. We do not know how many people use the app, what they cook, or how they navigate the interface.
This website (www.dishlio.fun) also uses no tracking scripts, cookies, or fingerprinting techniques.
7. Advertising
Dishlio contains no advertisements and is not monetized through advertising networks. We do not sell advertising space, display third-party ads, or participate in ad networks that could track you.
8. Third-Party Services
The only third-party service Dishlio interacts with is TheMealDB for recipe data (see Section 5). We do not integrate any social media SDKs, advertising platforms, analytics providers, or other third-party services.
9. Children’s Privacy
Because Dishlio collects no personal information from any user, there are no special concerns regarding children’s data. The app is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from children or adults alike.
10. Data Security
The best way to protect data is not to collect it. Since Dishlio collects no personal information, there is no user data stored on our servers that could be breached, exposed, or misused.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy in a material way, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Given our no-data approach, significant changes are unlikely. We will never introduce data collection without clear notice and, where applicable, consent.
12. Contact
