By using the Dishlio website (“Website”) or, once released, downloading and using the Dishlio mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website or App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App and Website, regardless of how you access or use them.
2. Description of Service
Dishlio is a recipe discovery service consisting of this website and a forthcoming mobile application for iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store). The service provides access to recipes sourced from TheMealDB, a free and open recipe database, and presents them in an easy-to-use interface.
Dishlio is and will always be:
- Free to download and use
- Free of subscription fees or paywalls
- Free of advertisements
- Operable without creating an account
- Private — collecting no personal user data
3. License to Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App, when available, on your personal mobile device for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the App
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or its related systems
- Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or overburden our infrastructure
4. Recipe Content and Accuracy
All recipe content displayed in Dishlio is sourced from TheMealDB, an independent third-party database. We display this content as-is and make no warranties regarding its accuracy, completeness, or suitability.
Important: Always verify recipes for dietary restrictions, food allergies, and safety. Dishlio is not responsible for any adverse outcomes resulting from following recipes in the App. If you have dietary restrictions or medical conditions, consult a qualified professional before following any recipe.
Ingredients, measurements, cooking times, and methods may vary in accuracy. Recipe names, origins, and cultural attributions are provided by TheMealDB and may not always reflect traditional or authentic preparations.
5. Intellectual Property
The Dishlio name, logo, app design, and website content (excluding recipe data from TheMealDB) are owned by Dishlio and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Recipe content, images, and descriptions are provided by TheMealDB and are subject to their respective intellectual property terms. Dishlio does not claim ownership over TheMealDB’s content.
6. Third-Party Services
Dishlio may access TheMealDB to retrieve recipe data. Your use of TheMealDB’s data through Dishlio is also subject to TheMealDB’s own terms and conditions. We encourage you to review their terms.
Dishlio is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of TheMealDB’s services. If TheMealDB is unavailable, certain features of Dishlio that require internet access may not function.
7. App Store Terms
When the Dishlio iOS App is distributed through the Apple App Store, your download and use of that app will also be subject to Apple Inc.’s App Store Terms of Service. When the Android App is distributed through Google Play, your use will also be subject to Google LLC’s Google Play Terms of Service. Dishlio is not affiliated with Apple Inc. or Google LLC.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any recipe content.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DISHLIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR WEBSITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES ARISING FROM FOLLOWING RECIPES IN THE APP.
10. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update or modify the App and these Terms at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time without notice, though we intend to maintain it for as long as possible.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in accordance with those laws.
